Solid pasteboard binding (shared by both volumes) covered in marbled paper, spine with a manuscript paper label and 2 raised bands. Published in Berlin at the author's own expense in 1795. Both books are overall in good condition, bindings slightly rubbed with frayed corners, the second book shows more signs of use, chiefly bent corners. Friedrich August Ludwig von Burgsdorff - notable German botanist, senior Prussian forest master. He devoted himself to the development of modern forestry and dendrology in Germany.
