Copper-engraved title page (crossed out with pen in two places at the top and the bottom margin trimmed by ca. 1.5 cm). Following the opening dedication, a full-page copper-engraved portrait of the author. Solid leather binding. Published by the Hack family in Leiden and Rotterdam in 1664.
Johannes Pauli (1455-1530/1533): Politischer Schimpff und Ernst (...) Von einem Liebhaber auffs neue übersehen, vermehret und (...) zum Druck befördert. Format 16°, 15.1x9.3 cm. 448 numbered pages, in German. Published by Joh. Friderich Spoor and Reinhard Wächtler in Strasbourg in 1677. Solid leather binding. Some leaves slightly stuck together, one gathering loosened from the binding, corners bent.

Henricus Zoesius (1571-1627): Commentarius ad L. Libros Digestorum seu Pandectarum. Volume II, continuous pagination: pp. 587-870, however between every two numbered leaves of text one blank leaf for notes is bound in, a large part of which is filled with period manuscript writing. This therefore appears to be a bespoke binding; none of the known editions of the book had this form. Solid leather binding. Edition not precisely identified, probably from Cologne, from the first third of the 18th century.
