Published by Toussaint Quinet in Paris in 1647. On the title page an ownership stamp "GRAF MAGNIS'SCHE BIBLIOTHEK STRASSNITZ" (the castle library of the Counts Magnis at Strážnice Castle). The book is slightly damaged by moisture and the binding is somewhat loose. The author is the Portuguese diplomat and writer Manoel Fernandes de Vila Real; it was translated into French and reworked by François de Grenaille. The political work analyses the life, government, political decisions and deeds of Cardinal de Richelieu.
