Together with his brother Raphael and nephew Aegidius, he became one of the leading representatives of Netherlandish Mannerism. Raphael Sadeler - member of the second generation of the prolific Flemish family of engravers, painters and publishers, son of Jan de Sayelleer of Aalst and brother of Jan I and Aegidius I. In 1585 he began collaborating with his brother Jan in Germany and Italy. Between 1604 and 1622 he was active in Munich.
